Coach Karcz is a Wisconsin native who grew up in Pulaski before settling in Mount Horeb with her husband, Dan, and their three active children. A lifelong competitor, she enjoys the outdoors, cooking, baking, and spending time with family when they’re not traveling between youth sports activities.
Kristen’s basketball journey began in 6th grade and led her to play collegiately at DII Michigan Technological University, where she competed for the Huskies and later served as a Graduate Assistant Coach. She continued her coaching career in Wisconsin as an assistant varsity coach at Mount Horeb before stepping away to raise her family. Today, she is actively involved in coaching her children across multiple sports, continuing her passion for developing young athletes.
As a coach, Kristen emphasizes effort, coachability, and teamwork, striving to build players’ confidence, basketball IQ, and love for the game in a positive and encouraging environment.
