bio

Coach Rod Clark began his coaching journey by spending eight years coaching youth basketball for his sons’ teams through the Belleville school program. During that time, he watched both sons help make history for Belleville High School—his oldest contributing to the program’s first-ever Regional Championship, and his youngest helping lead the team to its first conference championship in nearly four decades, repeating the title his senior season and adding another Regional Championship.

His AAU coaching experience began at Wisconsin Academy, where he served as an assistant coach for his oldest son’s 15U team under Coach Steve Collins, head coach of the Madison Memorial Spartans. He also assisted with his younger son’s 14U team before moving into head coaching roles.

Since then, Coach Clark has led several teams, including his oldest son’s 17U team and his youngest son’s 15U, 16U, and 17U teams. Most recently, he coached an 11U Wisconsin Academy team while mentoring his youngest son, Everett, as an assistant coach. The two continue working together as they help develop a 12U team, focusing on player growth, fundamentals, and a love for the game.
