Heidi Knapp brings more than 20 years of basketball coaching experience, working with athletes at every level from youth programs through varsity basketball. A lifelong connection to the game has shaped her coaching philosophy, emphasizing player development, team culture, and the commitment and preparation required to build successful programs.
Heidi played three years of varsity basketball for the Monroe Cheesemakers under her father, a highly successful coach and WBCA Hall of Fame inductee. As a member of the 2000 WIAA State Runner-Up team, she gained firsthand experience competing at a high level and developed a deep appreciation for the dedication and teamwork that contribute to a successful program. Although knee injuries during high school ultimately ended her playing career beyond that level, her passion for basketball continued through coaching.
Heidi currently serves as a varsity assistant coach for the McFarland Spartans, where she helps develop players, strengthen team culture, and contribute to the program’s success. During the 2022–2023 season, she was part of the coaching staff that helped lead McFarland to the WIAA State Basketball Tournament.
Through her extensive coaching experience and lifelong love of the game, Heidi is committed to helping athletes grow both on and off the court while building the skills, confidence, and character needed to succeed.
