SEASON INFORMATION
Practice & Tournament Schedules
Practices are held at both our SEA Stoughton and SEA Verona facilities. Teams typically practice 1–2 times per week, with each session lasting 90 minutes, providing players with consistent opportunities to develop their skills, build team chemistry, and prepare for competition. Practices generally begin in mid-March, with tournament play starting in late March for high school teams and early April for youth teams. Seasons typically run through mid-to-late July. While tournament schedules vary by age level, most teams participate in 6–8 competitive events that are carefully selected to match the skill level of each team and provide the best possible developmental and competitive experience.
Season Length
Our AAU season typically runs from mid-March through mid-to-late July, with the exact start and end date varying by the age level and tournament schedule of each team.
Cost
Program costs vary by team and are determined by a number of factors, including the number and location of tournaments, apparel packages, gym and court rental expenses, and other operational costs associated with providing a high-quality experience. To help families plan ahead, program fees are communicated during the winter, prior to the start of the season, allowing ample time to prepare for upcoming expenses.
Program Commitment
Wisconsin Academy takes great pride in maintaining a family-oriented environment built on trust, accountability, and commitment. Once a player accepts a roster spot and commits to a Wisconsin Academy team, we expect that commitment to be honored for the entirety of the season. To ensure fairness and consistency for all players and families, Wisconsin Academy does not allow athletes to participate with multiple AAU programs simultaneously. Team rosters, practice plans, tournament schedules, and family commitments are all made based on the understanding that each player is fully invested in their team. Honoring that commitment helps create the positive culture, chemistry, and experience that make Wisconsin Academy special for everyone involved.
Refund Policy
Wisconsin Academy does NOT offer refunds once a player has committed to a team and accepted a roster spot. Team fees are calculated based on the exact number of players on each roster, with expenses such as tournament entry fees, gym rentals, apparel, insurance, and other program costs budgeted accordingly. In order to be fair to all families, we do not require remaining team members to absorb additional costs when a player chooses to leave the program.
Refund requests may be considered only in extraordinary circumstances and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of the Program Director. Any approved refund may be adjusted to account for expenses that have already been incurred on behalf of the player and team.
