Koen brings more than 27 years of coaching experience and a lifelong passion for basketball to every team he leads. A former competitive player in Belgium until age 34, he transitioned into coaching and has been developing athletes ever since.
After moving to the United States, Koen spent eight years coaching WMASO Special Olympics Basketball, leading his team to the state tournament twice. He has also coached Stoughton BDL teams for eight seasons and is currently in his third year as an AAU coach.
Koen is committed to comprehensive player and team development, focusing on skill-building, game IQ, teamwork, and fostering a strong competitive mindset.
