Sara brings over 20 years of coaching experience at the youth through varsity levels, including seven seasons as a varsity head coach. Throughout her coaching career, her teams have captured multiple conference, regional, and sectional championships, reached the WIAA State Final Four, and consistently developed athletes who went on to compete at the collegiate level across NCAA Division I, Division III, and other collegiate sports.
Sara has been named Conference Coach of the Year three times and has coached numerous all-conference and all-state players. She has also had the opportunity to serve as the head coach for the WBCA Division 2 All-Star Game. One of her proudest accomplishments has been watching her own daughter, Teagan, continue her basketball career at the University of Wisconsin and the University of Iowa
Beyond her accomplishments on the court, Sara is an incredible mentor who is deeply committed to helping young girls develop confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love for the game. As an athlete herself, she competed in basketball, tennis, and softball at McFarland High School before continuing her basketball career at UW-Whitewater.
Sara lives in McFarland with her three children and five dogs and continues to share her passion, experience, and love for the game with the next generation of athletes.
